Zoey Update

Zoey had a doctors appointment today! She's weighing in at 9lbs 8oz and 21 inches! I can't believe how big she's gotten! I feel like she changes everday, it's crazy. She loves to eat, smile, and she loves to sleep.. we really couldn't ask for a better baby.

Zoey Mae Blanco

Zoey is finally here! She was born on August 2, 2009! On our one year anniversary :-) she was a great present. She weighed in at 7lbs 7oz and 19 inches long. I was in labor for 17 1/2 hours.. 7 hours into labor.. only 3 cm dilated (it took forever to become fully dilated) I decided to get an epideral.. best decision, ever! Altough I still felt A LOT of pressure.. it was worth it to get the epideral.. I can't imagine what the later contractions and pushing would have felt like. All in all it was all worth it because now we have our amazing baby girl!

Ian's journey back to school

Ian started school on the 5th this month! He is attending a local technical college and studying for his associates in science! His semesters are broken down into 6-10 weeks. For this first semester he has a Human relations course, English, and a Math class.

He was a little skeptical going into the math class, but is doing great! He is trying to get as much extra help for math as he can, so that has helped. English is great, writing is a natural talent for him so he is loving it, and the human relations class he says he loves because the teacher is awesome!

We will let you know his final grades in these classes, and what classes he will be in next!!

3 Months and Counting

Tomorrow 1/25/09, I will be three months pregnant! It feels like yesterday that i took the pregnancy test and saw a positive sign. Ian and I are waiting anxiously to be able to find out the sex of the baby!! We will be happy either way with a boy or girl.. but we both love to have a little girl! We should be able to find out in about 6 weeks or so.. so lets hope an ultrasound by then will be possible (I know caregivers don't like to do ultrasounds just for finding out the sex). I have my second checkup in two weeks, and they will also test for down syndrome.

I have to stop into the doctors on wednesday to have a blood test done (ugh, another one) to find out if I am immune to the hand foot and mouth disease... there has been an outbreak at the school I work at... not to mention a scarlet fever outbreak, pneumonia, and strep throat! Nice, huh?

Wish me luck in fighting off all those nasty diseases! :-)
